PSYCHO KILLER NO MERCY

Psycho Killer No Mercy is the music video Qstom Films created for Superatómica’s song Psycho Killer - No Mercy, included in their album New Planet Same Sin. Directed by Bego Sánchez and produced by Qstom Films, the project also featured the collaboration of Mireia Sagarra and Xavi Escola, along with the participation of the band members and, most notably, their vocalist Sergio Bieto.

The music video follows a narrative line connected to the universe of the song itself, developing a story of psychological descent, obsession, and restrained violence. The script does not merely illustrate the lyrics, but extends them visually, building a story that moves toward an increasingly murky, uncomfortable, and disturbing atmosphere.

On a visual level, the video is built around a dirty, oppressive, and confrontational aesthetic, with cinematography that pushes it into a territory of tension, confinement, and delirium. The image works with harsh contrasts, dense shadows, and a palette dominated by reds, blacks, and sickly tones, reinforcing an uncomfortable and suffocating atmosphere that supports the pulse of the song from the very first shot.

The editing plays a key role in that sense of instability. The alternation between performance, action, and fragments of visual texture creates a nervous, sharp, and progressively unsettling rhythm, accompanying the intensity of the song and reinforcing its emotional descent. Added to this is the use of distortion, interference, and a language close to surveillance footage, which brings an extra layer of aggression and unease.

To date, Psycho Killer No Mercy has been selected or nominated at 7 international festivals: BARCIFF Barcelona Indie Filmmakers Fest, Festivalar Film Festival, Punk Music Video Award, MONTIFF Montpellier Indie Film Festival, Purple Sky International Film Festival, VALÈIFF Valencia Indie Film Festival, and Ravenwood Film Festival.
